A big Update for Building LLMs for Production!
A new chapter, a complete revision and better code examples...
Good morning everyone!
Today, I’m super excited to announce that a new and improved version of Building LLMs for Production is here after 3 months of re-edition from the team.
We’ve (Towards AI) just launched a massive update for Building LLMs for Production! This new version has enhancements throughout the book—better structure, fresher insights, optimized code, and, most importantly, crucial information on optimizing LLMs into smaller and better models, along with an overall smoother, more enjoyable reading experience.
Why an update and not a second edition?
We’ve stayed true to the ‘timeless principles’ that have always grounded the book, principles that continue to be crucial as the LLM field evolves. Instead of starting from scratch, we focused on making the content more accessible and timeless and refining the reading flow to ensure the concepts remain crystal clear. Personally, I'm pretty happy about the improvements from v1!
Indeed, we went deeper into some of the most critical optimization techniques—like model distillation—which are becoming even more important as the landscape of "language models" grows.
Whether you prefer paperback, e-book, or hardcover, the updated version is ready and waiting for you on your local Amazon page: https://amzn.to/4bqYU9b
For those who have never heard of this 500-page guide, here's what's inside:
Hands-on Guide on LLMs, Prompting, Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) & Fine-tuning
Roadmap for Building Production-Ready Applications using LLMs
Fundamentals of LLM Theory
Simple-to-Advanced LLM Techniques & Frameworks
Code Projects with Real-World Applications
Colab Notebooks that you can run right away
Community access and our own AI Tutor
Jerry Liu (CEO of LlamaIndex) called it "the most comprehensive textbook to date on building LLM applications - all essential topics in an AI Engineer's toolkit." It is for AI Practitioners, AI/ML Engineers, Students/Researchers, Computer Science Professionals, Programmers, Tinkerers, and Job Seekers in AI...
p.s. Here’s a sneak peek at the updated Table of Contents, which now includes a brand new chapter
p.s.2. Let me know what you think when you get your hands on it! Please ping me (reply to this email) if you have v1 (or get the v2). We've got some nice gifts for our supporters! :)
Hi Louis, I’m happy to know there’s a new revision.
I’ve bought in Amazon the printed version of the book is there any way to have access to the new version ?
Hello, I am a student from Chongqing University and would like to read your latest version of the book. However, due to regional factors, I am unable to purchase it. Could you provide me with an e-book channel? Thank you very much
